Rep. Keith Kidwell Speaks on NC House Floor to Urge Residents to Vote for Washington in HULU Contest

Raleigh, NC – N.C. Rep. Keith Kidwell (R-Beaufort, Craven) took to the N.C. House floor last night to encourage his colleagues and residents across the state to vote for Washington in HULU’s Small Business Revolution contest. His remarks can be heard here (at minute 5:28) and are as follows:

I rise to share some very exciting news – and ask for the help of my colleagues and fellow North Carolinians.

Washington, NC has made it into the top 6 out of 12,000 communities across the nation for the chance to be featured on HULU’s Small Business Revolution and receive $500,000 that will be infused into our local small businesses.

This is a huge opportunity for our little town in Beaufort County – and it’d mean a great deal to our community.

As the only town in NC in the Top 6, I hope you can show your state pride and help support the original Washington.
